Uiwang Research Center
The LOTTE ENERGY MATERIALS Uiwang Research Center focuses on strengthening product competitiveness and securing proprietary technologies. The Center is accelerating the development of new businesses such as sulfide-based solid electrolyte, highly scalable LFP cathode active material, and 3rd generation silicon composite anode active material. These cutting-edge materials are pivotal for the next generation of battery technologies and represent the future growth areas for the company.
Iksan Plant 1
Iksan Plant 1 is the first plant in Korea to successfully produce elecfoil and is a key base for leading the advanced materials industry, serving as a mother plant that develops new products and process technologies, including high-end elecfoil.
Iksan Plant 2
Iksan Plant 2 manufactures products for communication circuit boards (FCCL), displays (tape), and other high value-added applications. Moreover, in response to shifts in the mobility paradigm, Iksan Plant 2 is gearing up for mass production of next-generation battery materials, setting up a pilot production line for sulfide-based solid electrolyte and highly scalable LFP cathode active material.
Malaysia
The smart factory in Malaysia, renowned for its superior infrastructure, stands as a key hub that marks domestic elecfoil industry's first successful overseas expansion. Utilizing eco-friendly energy from hydroelectric power, the factory delivers high-quality products to global customers, grounded in the highest level of cost competitiveness.

The smart factory in Spain is stationed in an ideal location for elecfoil production and quality control, thanks to its mild climate and low temperature variations throughout the year. It boasts a stable power grid based on eco-friendly renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power. With its differentiated product technology, the factory plans to supply high-end products to key customers in Europe.
United States
The United States has the largest demand for eco-friendly vehicles and is a strategic base that we have entered into to reflect the needs of customers. We aim to take the lead in the high-end elecfoil market by responding in a timely manner to various external variables, such as the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act(IRA), and supplying high-quality products to major battery companies and global automobile OEM companies located in North America.
